The Ascom D83 Protector ATEX is an ultra-rugged DECT cordless telephone, dedicated to professionals working in extreme environments. Easy to transport thanks to its compact size, this product has undergone a whole battery of tests in order to be certified according to the most demanding robustness standards. Certified according to the IP67 index, this telephone is fully protected against dust as well as temporary immersion (at a depth of 1 meter and for a maximum of 30 minutes), its reinforced coating allowing it to perfectly withstand temperature variations, falls from a height of 2 meters as well as the multiple manipulations that it can undergo daily, for an improved longevity.

Encompassing a powerful 950mAh Li-Ion battery rechargeable using the Versatile Connector, this phone offers up to 120 hours of standby time, users being able to communicate for more than 10 consecutive hours, while enjoying a relatively fast recharge of their device, the latter needing only 4 hours to be charged to 100%. The precise location system available thanks to DECT, Ascom IR, Low Frequency and Bluetooth Low Energy technologies allows users to know, in real time, the exact position of the phones in the range. Ensuring everyone’s safety, this model makes it possible, using alarms and a push-button, to warn other users in the event of loss of verticality, abnormal immobility or tearing, signals acoustic and automatic emergency calls that can also be configured.

Replacing the D81 model, the D83 Protector ATEX presented by Ascom redesigns professional wireless telephony using new generation components . This telephone allows easy navigation between the menus, the three programmable keys allowing in particular the highlighting of favourite actions . Offering access to the history of the last 50 calls received, missed and dialled, this Ascom D83 Protector ATEX solution integrates three separate directories for saving contacts and numbers: the local directory , the company directory and the central directory. Encompassing configuration and shortcut services for calls and data, this phone supports SMS sending , up to 140 characters per message, which can be pre- programmed or assigned to audible alarms depending on their urgency.

While the 2.4” TFT screen with colour display offers, thanks to its resolution of 240 x 320 pixels , a clear display of essential information: name and number of the caller, battery status. The Equipped LED indicator signals, using a multicoloured indicator , all incoming events, namely: calls, messages , etc. Supporting the G.722.2 and G.726 audio codecs , this DECT telephone offers transmission clear and precise wideband audio of the spoken words, the loudspeaker and the two microphones available performing a faithful broadcast, without noise pollution , thanks to the adaptive reduction system of background noise.
