The Motorola Talkabout T82 Extreme comes with an IPx4 rating, making it weatherproof against harsh environments. The specially designed handset is also ideal for use in rough conditions, as the bright LED display is built directly into the body of the radio. It even comes with a built-in torch, so you can cut down on the amount of kit you need to carry with you.
Now, for those who want something even more Extreme, there is the Motorola T92 H2O Waterproof PMR446 Radiowhich is IP67 rated and waterproof to a depth of 1m for 30 mins.
Up to 10km range
With a maximum range of up to 10km, the T82 Extreme is suitable for a wide range of different uses. Whether you take it on a skiing trip, use it while hiking or camping, or even in the workplace, these robust two-way radios are an excellent choice. Please note that the maximum range given only applies to ideal conditions with no obstructions, and may not reflect the range you achieve in practise.
License-free communications
As a PMR 446 radio, the Motorola T82 Extreme is completely license-free. There are no fees to pay, and there’s even an easy pairing button that allows you to instantly sync up all the radios in your setup. The T82 offers 16 different channels, as well as 121 privacy codes for a more reliable signal.
